Browsing around the internet today, I found this video.

How can you put so much hate and non-acceptance in the world, then say it's a lesbian spokesperson - who, by the way, stands for acceptance, treating others as you wish to be treated, honesty, compassion and helping those in need - for JC Penney that is going to corrupt the traditional values of American families?

Of course I had to look up the One Million Mom's Facebook page, and found that it had been removed because of negative comments. I do take empathy for these Mom's, it's the age old overprotective-mother story and they just want what is best for their children. But what are they really protecting them from by trying to remove a gay media icon from their children's lives? There's a thin line here between protectiveness and homophobia. I think they need to re-strategise, because their outlook is going to give their children not protection - but ignorance, prejudice and a distortion of equality.

People hating others for loving is a concept I've never quite understood. And people believe homosexuality will be the end of us is another.

Love is love is love is love.
